NAIT Scheme Cost Recovery Consultation

Farmers and lifestylers who manage cattle and deer have the opportunity to say what they think about the proposed levy system to fund the National Animal Identification and Tracing (NAIT) scheme, set to start on 1 July next year (2012) for cattle. Deer join the scheme in March 2013.
NAIT Limited, the industry-owned company responsible for setting up the scheme, is seeking submissions on proposed levy amounts and how they are collected.
