Apply to become NAIT-accredited

13 December 2011

Under the NAIT scheme, cattle and deer will be tagged with a NAIT-approved RFID ear tag. From 1 July 2012, it will be mandatory for farmers to submit animal movement data to NAIT Limited to secure a complete chain of animal tracking.

NAIT-accredited information providers will be able to provide information to NAIT Limited to help people in charge of cattle or deer meet their NAIT obligations.

Those likely to be interested in being accredited are those organisations that already manage substantial amounts of farming data in various capacities. This includes farm management companies, stock saleyards and meat processing plants.

Information providers and entities wishing to become accredited will need to meet defined criteria.
