 Meat Industry Association of New Zealand (Inc)The Meat Industry Association of New Zealand Inc (MIA) is a voluntary trade association representing New Zealand meat processors, marketers and exporters. MIA sees a NAIT system as an essential tool to minimise and manage the risk and impact of a biosecurity incursion and to provide customers and regulatory authorities increased confidence and surety in the integrity of New Zealand’s meat and meat products. MIA is working with NAIT to explore ways to fasttrack the implementation and uptake of NAIT approved tags during the non-mandatory sign-up period.
